Sergeant Nate Holt is from the Nelson police department. This conversation is my first attempt to hear the police side in the environmental conflict.
In the recent episodes, we heard a lot about police violence against land defenders, police misconduct and abuse of power and I felt it's about time to hear their side of the story.
I wanted to learn about how is it to be a police officer facing land defenders, how they view their power, what aggravates them and the situation and how they see their role in this conflict.
